C2PA Remover

The C2PA Remover clones your code files into fresh, downloadable copies that carry no C2PA provenance metadata. Select a single file, multiple files, or an entire folder — the tool reads each source file, strips embedded C2PA markers and manifest blocks, and repackages the clean content as brand-new files. Supports Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, C++, C, and Rust. All processing is 100% private and client-side.

Strip C2PA & Clone

Remove C2PA provenance markers, content credential blocks, and manifest metadata from every selected file, then repackage each one as a fresh downloadable clone.

📖 Step-by-Step: How to Use the C2PA Remover

Quick Tip: C2PA provenance metadata records how a file was created — including whether an AI model generated it. Cloning a file into a fresh copy removes that embedded record while keeping your source code 100% intact.

1. Select Your Files or Folder

Click 📂 Choose Files to pick one or more source files, or 🗂️ Choose Folder to process an entire directory tree. You can also drag and drop files or folders directly onto the drop zone.

2. Review the Detected File List

Every supported file (Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, C++, C, Rust) appears with its detected language. Unsupported file types are skipped automatically.

3. Strip C2PA & Clone

Click 🧬 Strip C2PA & Clone. The engine reads each file, removes C2PA markers, content credential blocks, and manifest metadata, then repackages the clean code as a brand-new file.

4. Download Your Clean Clones

Hit ⬇ Download All (ZIP) to grab every cloned file in one archive, or download individual files from the cloned output list.

📚 How C2PA Provenance Metadata Works

🔍 What is C2PA?

C2PA (Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity) is an open technical standard backed by Adobe, Microsoft, Intel, and others. It embeds cryptographically signed provenance records into digital content so viewers can verify who created it, with what tool, and when.

🧬 Why Do Code Files Carry C2PA Metadata?

AI coding assistants and content-generation pipelines can attach C2PA manifests to the files they produce. These manifests — often stored as JUMBF blocks, XMP records, or content credential assertions — label the file as AI-generated and record the generating tool.

🛡️ How Does Cloning Remove It?

This tool scans every line for C2PA markers (c2pa, jumbf, contentcredentials, urn:uuid, XMP namespaces, provenance assertions, and manifest blocks), removes them, and writes the remaining code into a fresh file. Because the clone is a brand-new file, no filesystem-level metadata is carried over either.

⚡ Supported Programming Languages

Supports Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, C++, C, and Rust — the same language coverage as the Claude Code Watermark Remover. Files are detected by extension and processed individually.

🔒 Privacy & Security Guarantee

All file reading, C2PA stripping, and cloning occur entirely client-side in your web browser. None of your source code or intellectual property is ever sent to a server.
